- Just wanna know if I refer from a polyclinic for aesthetic laser treatments in NSC, will it still be subsidized since it’s purely for aesthetic purposes (smoothening of skin etc)?
- Are the aesthetic laser treatments at NSC comparable to the private clinics? Because the price difference is HUGE!
- From my knowledge, there are no subsidies for aesthetic treatments in general even if it is done at NSC.
- Prices vary across clinics and you may be surprised at the price variation as compared to NSC. What would be more important is the expertise of the doctor in treating and addressing your concerns.
All the best!

No, aesthetic treatments at the NSC are never subsidized, even if you have a referral letter.
The prices for laser treatment at NSC can be a bit pricier than in the private sector (of course it also depends which clinic you go to in private, as there’s such a wide range of prices!
I can’t say that NSC has the newest shiniest laser machines either, as it’s ultimately a government hospital with a emphasis on treating skin disease, even though many of the doctors there are laser trained and pretty amazing, and I’ve gone there for laser treatment of some scars myself.
