Hi Doctor. I have been trying to put on weight for years and have failed miserably, mostly because I was not able to maintain a daily 6-8k calorie intake for at least 3-6 months. Recently I had a glycemic test done where blood sugar level was  tested every 30mins after consuming a very sweet solution. My sugar level went from 5.6 to 9.1 30mins into the test and then dropped back to 5.7 in just an hour. I understand that it would take an average person approximately 2 hours for the sugar level to go back to normal and I was told the reason my sugar level was able to go back to normal this quickly was because of the high metabolic rate of my cells.

So my question is, for someone with an extreme case of metabolic issue like mine, would the doctor prescribe anabolic steroids to aid me in gaining weight?
